Ive got an EVGA 650G PSU and Id like to connect VGA 1 to the 8-pin port on the 1070 and the VGA 3 to. IDK if the card is intelligent enough to balance the load though. Slot is rated for 75W and the 6 pin is 75W that is 150W total. It also comes with and adapter which is 2 different 6 pin connectors that go in to an 8 pin. the 1660Ti is extremely efficient honestly. The 1070 calls for '6+8' but Im unsure of my interpretation of that and rather not risk frying the GPU without consulting others first. GIGABYTE rolled out what it claims to be the shortest GeForce GTX 1080 graphics card, the GV-N1080IX-8GD. Inno3D was adding dual 8-pin power connectors to its GPUs for the longest time. The manufacturers (even the cheaper ones) know pretty well what they are doing and if your GPU only comes with one 8-pin connector than that is the way it was intended by the manufacturer.
